Firstep is an app that allows you to create, manage and share an online matrimonial biodata (“profile”) for the purpose of serious relationships and marriage.

Terms of Service

By using Firstep and our services you certify

• That as a registered user you have created your own profile on your own mobile device and have provided accurate information about yourself including your real name
• That the images uploaded to your profile are those of yourself and you have
• That you are above the legal marriage age in your country or jurisdiction, e.g. if you are in India and a female that you are 18 years of age or older
• That you will not use our product or services for unlawful, misleading, discriminatory or fraudulent activities or for any behaviour or conduct that infringes or breaches someone else's rights
• That you will not upload viruses or malicious code, or do anything that could disable, overburden or impair the proper working or appearance of our products
• You may not access or collect data from our Products using automated means (without our prior permission) or attempt to access data that you do not have permission to access.

As a user of Firstep, you grant us the following permissions

• To share your profile and its contents with other users who have your unique profile link
• To conduct research and analysis about usage that help us improve our product
• To store and reproduce your profile and its contents in our servers and databases

Limits on liability

• Our products are provided as-is and we do not guarantee that our services and your profile will be always be safe, secure or error-free, or that they will function without disruptions, delays or imperfections.
• We do not control or direct what people you share your profile with do or say, and we are not responsible for their actions or conduct (whether online or offline) or any content that they share (including inaccurate, offensive, inappropriate, obscene, unlawful and other objectionable content).
• We will not be responsible for any loss or damage to resulting from use of our product or services

Privacy & Policy

What data we collect

• The information you provide in your profile, including personal details such as phone number, address, family, education details, etc. and photos of yourself that you upload
• Information about your usage of the app via tracking tools and third-party analytics providers, including usage of people who view/share your profile
• Information about your device such as IP address, device ID, operating system, etc.

How we use the data

• To provide our service of making your profile available to anyone with the link
• To conduct research and analysis about usage to improve our product features and services
• To provide you the ability to manage your account and online profile, and related customer support and promotional communications

Who can view your profile

• Your profile is visible to anyone with the unique private link, as shared by you and your network of family and friends
• You should consider who you share your profile with, as they may download, screenshot or reshare your profile to others on or off our platform
• We do not rent, sell, or share personal information about you with other people or non-affiliated companies
• You can choose to deactivate your profile anytime by unpublishing your profile in the settings of the app
